| Inhabitants Of British Columbia Identified As The Highest Users Of Anti-Impotence Drugs Such As Viagra
Date: 18th February 2009
The residents of British Columbia are known to use the erectile dysfunction medicines excessively and according to researchers, the per person spending by the British Columbia residents last year on anti-impotence drugs was found to be around 13 per cent higher than the average spending on erectile dysfunction drugs by Canadian nationals last year.
Alan Cassels, a University of Victoria drug policy researcher, explains that the significant increase in spending on anti-impotence drugs is mainly on account of the recreational usage of the medicines by homosexuals.
Statistics collected by MS Health Canada regarding the spending on anti-impotence drugs clarify that during 2008, around 242,875 prescriptions on anti-impotence drugs were prescribed in British Columbia. However, concerning the results in the Canadian Rx Atlas, Alan Cassels clarifies that physicians in British Columbia are known to adopt a conservative attitude while prescribing other specific drugs but may not be that conservative when it concerns distributing prescriptions of the anti-impotence drug Viagra.
